[ale] nedit v.4.0.1 clean-build report

Thanks to the developers/maintainers.  nedit 4.0.1 built out of the box
for me (gcc 2.6.3/MooTiff/a.out) and works nicely.  I will probably try
the 'nc' client at some point -- looks handy.  I find fully-qualified
filenames in the file selection box is space-consuming and perhaps not
an improvement -- I'll RTFM.
